Building Black Pride: Infancy to Adolescence workshop
An online, one-time workshop for Linn, Benton, and Lincoln County parents and providers by Terrance I Harris, M.Ed.
Pride In Blackness: This workshop will discuss the Positive Communication efforts and affirming positive affirmations around being Black. Topics include African Heritage, Courage/Achievements of African People, Strengths of Black Families, and Unique Black Customs and Language. In this workshop, we will also discuss how to avoid Black Put-Downs and Help Children Understand and Cope with Racism.

About the presenter: Terrance I Harris, M.Ed has over 10 years of experience as a Higher Ed professional along with 8 years of experience as a peer educator, parent coach, and tobacco cessation specialist. He instructs parenting courses for Linn & Benton Counties and is certified through the Effective Black Parenting program.
