Childbirth & Newborn Preparation
This 3-week class helps parents get ready for birth and taking care of a new baby. You’ll learn what to expect during labor and birth, ways to stay comfortable with or without medicine, and discuss possible medical interventions, including cesarean birth. The class also covers how to care for yourself and your baby after birth, how to start breastfeeding, and includes a tour of the birthing center.
This class is for parents in their third trimester of pregnancy. Space is limited, so please sign up early!
Class meets: January 7, 16, 21, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 pm at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, 3600 NW Samaritan Drive, Corvallis (Conference Room A/B).
Cost: Free. After you register, you’ll get an email (a day or two before the first class, or the morning of) with details about where to go and what to expect. If you’re on the waitlist, you’ll only be contacted if a spot opens up.
