Managing Meltdowns
Young Roots Oregon invites you to the Managing Meltdowns Workshop series. This workshop will use the work of Dr. Mona Delahooke’s “Brain Body Parenting” to help us understand what is happening in our child’s brain and body during overwhelming emotions. We will then explore how to check in with ourselves and practice ways to both calm our children and ourselves in the moment through co-regulation, and to build our children’s emotional resilience.
This class is for young parents with children ages 0-10 years. Young Roots Oregon is a culturally specific organization for teen parents through age 24, but if a partner/co-parent is older than 24 years old, they may attend courses and events.
This workshop meets from 5:00-6:20 pm on December 4, 9, and 11, 2025, at the Young Roots Oregon Family Hub, Periwinkle Plaza, 1630 SE 9th Ave, Albany.
Cost: Free, with childcare provided. Free dinner available at 4:30 p.m.
To register, visit the “events” page at youngrootsoregon.org and follow the registration links.
