Newborn Care Essentials: Feeding, Sleep & Soothing

Whether you’re expecting or newly postpartum, this supportive, evidence-based workshop is designed to help you feel confident and calm as you navigate the first weeks with your baby. View flyer.

This workshop will cover:

  • Feeding basics: Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding essentials, how to recognize hunger cues, and practical tips for common feeding questions.
  • Reading your baby’s cues: How to understand signals your newborn gives you — fussiness, sleepiness, hunger, and comfort needs.
  • Newborn sleep science & routine: What typical newborn sleep looks like, safe sleep basics, and how to begin shaping a gentle rhythm that works for your family.
  • Soothing strategies: Evidence-based ways to soothe your baby and support calm moments throughout the day.
  • Interactive Q&A: Throughout the session, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized guidance in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

This workshop is on March 4, 2026, from 6:00 – 7:15 pm, at the Corvallis Birth Center, 2314 NW Kings Blvd #A, Corvallis.
