Childbirth for Young Parents

Learn about the development of your pregnancy, what to expect during your birth, and post-labor in a safe, open environment with experienced nurses and peer support, designed to help you gain knowledge and confidence to advocate for your best birth experience.

This class is for pregnant people up to age 24 and their partners who reside in Linn and Benton Counties.

The class meets from 3:00-6:00 pm on June 30, July 2, 7, and 9, 2026, at the Young Roots Oregon Family Hub (Periwinkle Plaza, 1630 SE 9th Ave, Albany).

Free on-site child care, transportation, and dinner provided. LEARN & EARN: Each pregnant person will receive a postpartum & new baby kit with an estimated value of $200, provided by Altrusa of Albany, plus an $80 gift card after completing the 4-part series class!

Young Roots Oregon is a culturally specific organization for teen parents through age 24, but if a partner/co-parent is older than 24, they may attend courses and events, as we believe in empowering the family unit as a whole.
