Financial Literacy & Coaching for Young Parents

Learn with a Stand By Me financial coach about implementing strong, healthy habits to support financial stability and peace. Work one-on-one (or with a partner) to clarify your financial goals, create action plans, and find support and resources along the way.

This class is for young parents up to age 24 who reside in Linn and Benton Counties.

The class meets at the Young Roots Oregon Family Hub (Periwinkle Plaza, 1630 SE 9th Ave, Albany).

  • June 3 – budgeting and savings
  • June 17 – debt and credit, plus two financial coaching sessions

Time: 4:30–5:30 pm family dinner and 5:30–7:30 pm class.

Free on-site child care, dinner, and transportation are provided. Learn and earn $80 per family.

Young Roots Oregon is a culturally specific nonprofit empowering young parents from their teen years up to age 24, along with their children. Partners outside of that age range are welcome. They offer inclusive support for fathers, mothers, the LGBTQIA+ community, and native Spanish speakers.
