Nurturing Hearts: Perinatal Support Connections – YRO

This course is taught in Spanish

Perinatal Support Connections is for teens through age 24 who are currently pregnant, have experienced a loss, recently had a baby or have stopped breastfeeding and are experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety (PMADs). View group flyer in English and Spanish.

Some symptoms of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) can include feeling sad, irritable, guilty, anxious, panicky, quick to anger, difficulties eating or sleeping, having upsetting thoughts in your mind, or thoughts of harming yourself or your baby. If symptoms last longer than two weeks or are affecting daily life, this support group is just for you! Remember, you are not alone, and you will get better!

The Young Roots Perinatal Support Connections Group meets at the Young Roots Oregon Family Hub (Periwinkle Plaza, 1630 SE 9th Ave, Albany) on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays, 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Support is available in English and Spanish.

All classes include a family meal and are supported by the KidRoots Children’s Program team providing on-site childcare.

Young Roots Oregon is a culturally specific organization for teen parents through age 24, but if a partner/co-parent is older than 24 years old, they may attend courses and events as we believe in empowering the family unit as a whole.

Registration is always open, so join when the time is right for you! Register here https://forms.gle/UmXWuupxU3tpXt4G6
