Pollywog’s Asset Mapping Project

Asset Mapping, or the process of creating a map of community assets and resources, is a hands-on experience that centers the participants’ experiences and opinions. Over-sized aerial maps serve as a canvas for community members to share their perspectives on their homes and their resources. We hope to learn more about the community that we can’t learn from just looking at a map ourselves.
These communities were chosen because they are similar in size (under 20,000 residents) and have at least two of these existing assets – a grocery store that sells fresh meats and produce, a library, and a health care clinic.
The Pollywog Asset Mapping Project was funded by OHA’s Public Health Equity Grant through 12/31/2025.
