Live & Learn with Your Preschooler

A preschool cooperative for families and their 3-, 4- and 5 -year olds. Children must be 3 or 4 years old by the first day of the Fall Term of the current school year to enroll. Kindergarten-eligible children are not eligible for enrollment. Three mornings a week, the instructor leads activities, including books, songs, demonstrations, and sharing/interaction with other children during the preschool lab. Parents/guardians take turns assisting the instructor during lab time. Preschool activities foster children’s growth, development, and school readiness. 

In addition to lab time, parents/guardians attend evening parenting education sessions, which provide opportunities to reflect and share with other parents. Parents/guardians expand their knowledge of parenting and practice guidance and communication techniques. This program works to align with best practices, including the Department of Early Learning and Care and Kindergarten Guidelines. Seminar: Remote via Zoom plus additional readings and assignments for a total of 15 hours. 

Prerequisites for registration:

• Completed Preschool Agreement
• Proof of Conditional Enrollment in the Central Background Registry
• Copies of Immunization Records or completion of the Vaccine Exemption Modules

Class meets at Scio Preschool, 38743 N. Ash Street, Scio.

Children’s Preschool: Mon., Wed., Fri., 9:00 to 11:20 am, March  31 – June 9, 2025. (No class 4/28 & 5/26)

Parent/Caregiver Seminars: Remote, Wednesdays, 7:00-7:50 pm, plus additional readings and assignments for a total of 15 hours.

Cost: $350 for the term.
